A couple of pictures...

... so you can get re-acquainted with us. As you can see we're doing rather well. My sister is just growing and I'm making lots of new friends. Here I am with Florence (who also hangs out with Miriam), my mami's best friend from forever.
Now that the camera is back, we'll hopefully report more regularly on our daily lives, although we're leaving on Monday for South of France, and there's no internet connection there!

We're (almost) on again

Haha! We found a camera. It arrived today. It is charging. Soon it will take pictures of me throwing pureed carrots a little bit everywhere. Be prepared. We will return, with a vengeance.

Toujours pas de photos...

Still no pictures in this land of frozeness (not sure that is a word... again I'm only four months old). I'm discovering that not all countries are experimenting temperatures in the nineties. In fact, here they often live in the thirties or fourties. I don't really mind it (my mami knows how to wrap that blanket around my feet like no one else) but I do mourn all my pretty summer dresses that are sitting in my closet. There's also a thing called a swimming pool, but I have no clues as to what it is even though my brother fell into it, and it seems to involve a lot of wetness. They say it's still too cold for me, so my activities remain more of the same: "Buvez, éliminez". I'm also trying to sit up. Perhaps when we have a camera I'll be able to demonstrate for you. Hope all is well where it's always warm.

Where are we?

After the mighty achievement of destroying our backyard, it seems like the next logical step was to bring project-destruction to a close. Yes, we had thought about it.
Unfortunately the parent team was quicker to act. They transported us in a far far away land where they seem to have lots of allies called uncles, ants, grandparents and even great-grandparents, eager to teach us good behavior. They also possess great resources of chocolate and cheese to bribe us with. I do not know if they will be able to tame us, but we definitely are in a dangerous situation.
Besides, there seems to be no camera to record our daily occupations, a further difficulty that we need to cope with. We will see if we can give you news of our progress soon. The house in Alpharetta might be safe, but we might still be able to create some trouble here in the land of cows and great mountains.

La pelle mécanique c'était pas mal, mais dans mon bain j'ai pensé qu'ajouter l'aide de quelques amis devrait réellement m'assurer le succès... Entre Chicken Little et Nemo, les parents n'ont qu'à bien se tenir! J'en ris d'avance!

Progress towards destruction 3

Je ne sais pas si vous avez remarqué, mais la destruction a assez peu progressé ces derniers temps. Il a surtout été question de fashion et de chapeaux. Donc il fallait envisager une solution rapidement. Je pense que cet engin devrait m'aider à créer quelques remous à la maison....

Girlfriends, and another hat

Maddie and I are sharing a very special moment under the rabbits. Yeah, we're really good friends. Sure we might have very independent minds and look at life from a different angle, but hey, there's definitely a connection there. We're kindred spirits. And boy, do we know how to scream... not at each other, mind you, but together. Our moms love it.

On another note, I've heard some people say that my hat from the other day wasn't all that cool. So, what about that one? Do you think I'll ever be able to be an astronaut? Hahaha, I really make myself laugh...

Mon papa, les colons and the hat

Vous vous souvenez, les colons? Oui, c'est toujours d'actualité. Je découvre... J'aime assez bien traîner avec mon papa. Il paraît qu'on a la même coupe de cheveux.













Mouais... finalement, les colons, pas si cool que ça. Gabe m'avait bien averti. Heureusement que Mami vient m'emmener pour ma promenade.

Me voilà parée pour les grands froids (ou presque, je pense
que Mami va encore ajouter 2 ou 3 couvertures). À part ça, je sais bien que vous avez déjà vu cette tenue l'autre jour...mais bon l'essentiel est dans les accessoires, alors admirez le bonnet! Encore une fois, merci PiPiou et Arah (au plaisir de vous rencontrer bientôt).

We're in trouble now!

I think we're really hitting a rough spot here. The parent team seem to have us under control. In fact, they even believe they will be able to put us to bed at the same time. I imagine they think they will be able to enjoy a quiet evening afterwards...


Sure, Papa was successful with me, but I have it from a sure source that Miriam rose up to the occasion and kept Mami up late into the night. You go girl!

Setback

Notre programme de destruction a malheureusement été très massivement ralenti par Miriam. Comme le documentent ces deux photos qui font le bonheur de Mami et Papa, elle se comporte remarquablement bien (la nuit passée elle a même dormi de 23h à 7h00 du matin). La voici d'abord avec un premier petit sourire...




Bon je sais que Gabriel n'est pas vraiment satisfait de moi, et cette deuxième photo ne va pas arranger les choses. Mais je suis une fille quand même, et il faut bien que je montre à mes deux tantes suisses que je suis à la hauteur de leur cadeau... Je promets de m'améliorer du côté de la destruction tout bientôt. Et puis, Gabriel a quand même réussi à meetre un cheetos (une sorte de flips local) dans son oreille aujourd'hui, donc ça va. Enfin, me voici dans ma latest fashion....

This was me a couple of days ago... I cried from 4 pm to 8 pm... My mom really enjoyed it. I think Gabriel would be really proud of me. A little more of this and I can tell that they're weakening...

Là je joue tranquillement au train électrique... mais hier j'ai mis la queue d'une pomme dans un gallon de lait.
De son côté, Miriam crie aux moments les plus opportuns (quand Mami est sous la douche, aux toilettes, quand elle fait la cuisine) mais elle se calme encore un peu trop facilement quand Mami lui donne le nouki... De ce côté-là, elle a encore des progrès à faire. Je continue son éducation et avec un peu de persévérance je pense que nous arriverons à les faire craquer.

Copycat

Everyone seems to be blogging. At least Barritt and Maddie do. So Gabe and I decided we should get there too. We do feel a little bit like copycats, but we've decided that since we can speak French as well as English (at least Gabriel can. I'm still going through my hard-drive of languages, trying to select the right one for this family in which I'm now living. Presently screaming seems to be the most efficient way to communicate), we feel confident that our blog will be different enough.
We'll also see if we can keep up. Life in a family of four seems to leave remarkably little time to play with a computer.
Maintenant Miriam et moi nous invitons à découvrir nos premiers efforts pour mettre fin au calme auquel notre mère semble déséspérément s'accrocher. C'était 22h30, l'heure parfaite pour mettre les nerfs de mami à l'épreuve. Elle a beaucoup ri en nous voyant mais au fond d'elle-même je sais bien qu'elle aurait aimé aller se coucher dans mon lit et nous laisser là. Je crois qu'elle avait quand même un peu d'appréhension à me laisser m'occuper de Miriam tout seul.
